Each activity has a variable duration, which is specified in the event details. Some activities involve a total of about four hours of walking, while others are longer, featuring walking sessions in the morning followed by a return in the early afternoon after lunch.

Distances of 6, 12, and 15 km with an elevation gain of between 300 and 700 meters—a series of walks that are truly perfect for everyone.

Excursion to Campi di Norcia for the Piantamaggio festival

November is an excellent time for foliage hikes, when the last rays of sunlight play against the contrasting colors of the leaves: the vivid red of the smoke bush, the amber hues of beech and oak trees, the vibrant green of moss coming to life in the cooler ravines, and the carpet of leaves that accompanies us for much of the journey.

The greenery is intensified by the autumn rains, the days are increasingly shorter and the air increasingly fresh. During the walk we will also come across freshly cultivated fields and talk about local, 0km products.

This year, you can experience true autumn foliage on this guided tour.

Excursion details: costs and what to bring

Since this page lists various excursions, each with a different duration, I invite you to click “READ MORE” within the event listing to view the specific details for each event.

Excursions are always led by an AIGAE guide and take place almost exclusively on unpaved tracks. While short sections may involve asphalt, wearing hiking shoes is essential, as the trails can be muddy (especially given the autumn season and rainfall). Therefore, you need to bring suitable outdoor footwear with rugged soles—appropriate for the countryside—and take a few necessary precautions.

  • hiking shoes with lugged soles
  • essential hiking gear, including waterproof trousers
  • bring at least 1 liter of water per person
  • rain jacket
  • hat
  • gloves (always recommended in your backpack)

Recommended minimum age for activities: generally 7–9 years old (younger children are also welcome if accustomed to mountain hiking). Admission is free for infants, but strollers or prams cannot be used due to the nature of the hiking trail surface.

It is recommended to bring a shirt, socks, and shoes in the car to change into upon your return.

The meeting point and all organizational details will be sent directly via email to those who book.
