12 km of excitement in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains (max 20 participants)
On November 1st, a unique experience awaits you amidst Umbria’s most spectacular panoramas: a hike of approximately 12 km with a 450-meter elevation gain to discover Castelluccio di Norcia and its plateaus suspended between the sky and the mountains. For just one day, a small group of up to 20 participants and a guide ready to lead you through the trails and breathtaking views of the Monti Sibillini National Park.
The route begins in the village of Castelluccio, nestled among mountains rising above 2,400 meters. From here, the route winds along a panoramic path that gently climbs above the Piangrande, offering spectacular views of the plain and the surrounding mountains. During the walk, we’ll cross stretches of land where the “vanished lake” of Piangrande once lay, now a vast grassy basin that magically reflects the autumn light.

The trail continues toward Pian Perduto, a captivating and peaceful place where time seems to have stood still. During the hike, you’ll admire Mount Redentore, which hides the majesty of Mount Vettore behind it, the undisputed protagonists of this Umbrian “little Tibet.”
This intermediate-level hike requires hiking boots and a minimum level of fitness. Bring water, a picnic lunch, and appropriate mountain clothing: even in autumn, temperatures can be surprising.
๐ Limited space!
Only 20 participants are allowed for an authentic experience in close contact with nature.
Book your spot now and treat yourself to a day of true immersion in the beauty of the Sibillini Mountains.

What to bring on an excursion
Safety must be our greatest concern and, although in summer there are situations with a lower risk than in winter, we cannot underestimate the mountain environment. Let’s find out together what to bring to the mountains during a summer excursion (both day and night):
- ESSENTIAL ANKLE-HIGH TREKKING SHOES (for mountain excursions and especially for winter excursions)
- a personal water supply of at least 1 litre
- snacks to eat during breaks (dried fruit is perfect)
- spare shirt, spare trekking socks
- trekking poles (some are available for the activities I organize but it is best to book them during the preliminary contact phase)
- sunglasses, hat and neck band
- for excursions above 1500 m above sea level and for all night excursions, also bring gloves, a neck warmer and a bright torch
I also reiterate that you must wear:
- ankle-high shoes;
- technical shirt in contact with the skin, long-sleeved top shirt and windbreaker. If you go on a night excursion, also bring a sweatshirt;
